Bronte Woods is located at the eastern edge of Burlington, a city 25 miles (40 kilometres) west of Toronto. The last phase was completed in the fall of 2005 and consists of single family homes with a few semi-detached homes and townhouse units, all totalling approximately 700 in number.

The area contains woodlots, parks, and a public elementary school which opened in November, 2006. The community sits on the edge of the 1600-acre (650 hectares) Bronte Creek Provincial Park and the dominant Bronte Creek Ravine.
